Aishwarya Rai Biography

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was born on November 1, 1973. She won the Miss World contest in 1994 and then to pursue a career as an actor. Aishwarya Rai is often touted as the most beautiful woman on earth. She is one of the most popular actresses in India, and is currently working on several international projects, like Chaos with Meryl Streep and Last Legion, which is about to publish soon.

She made her film debut in the Mani Ratnam Iruvar (1997) and had his first critical and commercial success with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), with whom she has repeated that success with Devdas (2002).

Since then, she has played in nearly 40 Hindi, Tamil, Bengali and English movies. Today it is considered one of the most popular actresses of India and the Indian actress best known throughout the world. Rai is married to actor Abhishek Bachchan Indian and stepdaughter of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan.
